Investment Case: Elea Digital

Piemonte Holding entered the digital infrastructure market when it founded Elea Digital, group’s data center platform in 2018.

The long-term investment aims to create an ecosystem of edge data centers with national geographic coverage, aiming at strengthening and transforming the country’s digital infrastructure.

In 2021, Piemonte completed the purchase of five data centers from Oi in one of the largest judicial recovery processes in Brazilian history. The five data centers that became part of Elea Digital are located in Porto Alegre, Curitiba, São Paulo and Brasília, the latter with two units. Also in 2021, Elea Digital purchased the Grupo Globo data center, located in Rio de Janeiro.

For the coming years, Piemonte aims to maintain the same volume of capital allocation, betting on the increase in demand for connectivity.
